Britney Spears Bans Booze From "The X Factor"

Britney Spears Bans Booze From "The X Factor"

VIBE Pop Culture Posted September 13, 2012

Already earning applause for being a tough judge, former pop princess Britney Spears has also taken a stern approach to the backstage politics at The X Factor by banning alcohol.

The critically acclaimed hitmaker — who joined Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as the show's panel of judges alongside newcomer Demi Lovato — has made it known that she does not want the temptation of the hard stuff around her at all before, during, or after the show's taping. Her team is enforcing the decision by banning any possibility of her accessing it while on set, writing in a note, "Very important. We require you to empty minibars of all alcohol. And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please."

While many would applaud the tactic of remaining sober on the job, the hooch isn't the only thing Britney is believed to have banned from the show; pretty women are also not allowed backstage.

A source recently leaked the news saying, "Britney has stipulated that none of the backstage staff working with her are too pretty or stylish."

However, the singer is currently doing an awesome job on the program, and is adding an extra element of electricity to Simon Cowell's post-American Idol show.
