Photographers and onlookers were a bit startled after actress Brooke Shields popped up on the Red Carpet for the annual Met Gala in New York City.
Shields appeared to be in good health and has no known ailments. The seasoned thespian sported a form-fitting dress and accessories from Tiffanny & Co. and turned heads all night long.
It wasn't until E! News spoke to the 46-year-old star on what was causing her need for walking aid that the concern was brought to halt. She told Giuliana Rancic that "she had torn her meniscus in her knee while recently performing as Morticia Addams in the Broadway hit The Addams Family."
Overall, Brook says it's "not a big deal, it's inconvenient." She is expected to make a full recovery.
