Brooklyn's Hip-Hop Festival Is Back With Busta Rhymes & Friends!

Hip-Hop in New York is forever grateful to the Brooklyn Bodega crew headed up by founder and industry veteran, Wes Jackson. His team is dedicated to providing the best experience of music and community that NYC can offer. Reaching out to fans and friends, Brooklyn Bodega is looking for donations via Kickstarter to help keep costs affordable for the masses and still deliver a top-notch production that has boasted and boosted the careers of so many Hip-Hop artists today. This year the mighty infamous Busta Rhymes headlines the yearly event with his own special guests. "This year, marks the 8th anniversary of The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (BHF). Established in 2005, this event has grown from a parking lot to the largest Hip-Hop cultural event in New York City on the Brooklyn Downtown waterfront that attracts over 20,000 Hip-Hop fans to the Borough of Kings annually.

The only event of its kind, The Festival is produced by Brooklyn Bodega and staffed by 90% volunteers and family-run. In a world where being a Hip-Hop artist has become synonymous with being a corporate citizen; The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is a throwback to the DIY, entrepreneurial spirit of Hip-Hop.
In 2011 the Festival accomplished the unbelievable, a bill that boasted the legendary Q-Tip (of A Tribe Called Quest) for a special “& Friends” presentation. The Festival stage was blessed by the likes of Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought (of The Roots) and more – all for a general admission ticket price of $15."
