Featured on the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack, this midtempo guitar-driven Babyface groove got serious burn in my CD player and still does (on the iPod). I always adored Brandy’s low vocals and fully appreciate her tone despite her lack of range. “Sittin Up In My Room” is all about that honeymoon phase after meeting a guy when just thinking about him is enough to beget butterflies (“I pray that you’ll invest in my happiness/All it takes is just one simple call from you”). Dare you not to bankhead-bounce while watching this.
