C Notes: Brownstone “If You Love Me”

Certain songs instantly evoke the ’90s and Brownstone’s “If You Love Me” is one of them. With its soulful harmonies, the 1995 jam off their debut From the Bottom Up is the trio’s most well known single (they were signed to Michael Jackson’s MJJ label), and the acapella version one of the best I’ve heard.
