Willow Smith stirred up quite the controversy when she posted a picture of herself with a tongue ring on Instagram.

While the 11-year-old's diverse fashion and hair choices had already been a source of criticism, people were especially shocked by the tongue ring.

Though her parents Jada and Will Smith have been in full support of her unconventional style, Willow quickly shot down all criticism by claiming that the piercing wasn't real.

"It's fake... Sorry," the young diva later added to the photo.
