We love Ciara but it feels like the the R&B siren has been gone for way too long.
In her return into the studio for her next album, producer Hit-Boy revealed details on collaborating with CiCi on a new track.
The 24-year-old in-demand producer behind the Will Ferrell-sampled hit “Ni**gas in Paris” crafted an untempo record with song writer, Soundz. “The track will be debuted on her upcoming Epic Records release, which if the title follows suit, will be a chart-topping single ready for the club.
“I did a record for Ciara. It’s called ‘Hit Boy,’ written by this producer/writer Soundz. He’s amazing, so be on the lookout for that,” Hit-Boy told MTV News. He described the feel as “energetic, for the club, for the radio.”
Hit-Boy has also been working on music for Brandy, the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, and Kendrick Lamar.--who he promises will deliver some bug surprises.
“The record that [Kendrick and I] did work on is very energetic,” he said. “It’s almost the same type of energy as a ‘Ni**as in Paris,’ so I’m super excited for people to hear that. That’s like one of my best beats that I’ve done in a while.” --Eric Diep
