A new generation of nerd can learn why the old crushed on Carrie Fisher so hard!
Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, will reprise her role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. In an interview with the Palm Beach Illustrated, the Skywalker twin was asked point blank whether or not she'd be in the J.J. Abrams-directed film.
She answered with a simple, "Yes."
In the article, she goes on to explain how she sees the Princess Leia of today. "Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home [laughs]. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle," Fisher said.
Star Wars: Episode VII, which is coming out in 2015, will be directed by J.J. Abrams, who gave nerds all around the galaxy a joy boner with his reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are already confirmed to appear in the new film, reprising their roles as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
