Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose isn't just recognized for his heart on the hardwood floor, but off the court as well.
After the 6-month-old baby girl Jonylah Watkins was shot to death on the South Side of Chi-town this week, the NBA star has reportedly reached out to the family through his agent and offered to cover some of the expenses for her funeral.
Rose, who recently had a baby boy (seen above), took to Twitter March 7 to express the importance of family.
What's the most important thing in life? To me, it's FAMILY...If you take away the fame & fortune they're the ones that will always be there

The funeral is set to take place Tuesday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Church at 66th and King. New Beginnings is the church of Pastor Corey Brooks, who has been acting as a spokesman for Watkins' family.
