Christina Aguilera: Britney Spears Will Give Great Advice on 'X-Factor'

The two Disney-spawned divas are back to going head to head.

As judges for The Voice and X-Factor, respectively, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears will be competing against each other for ratings this coming fall.

But just because they'll be in competition doesn't mean Christina has any ill feelings toward Britney. “I came up with Britney, we were very close,” she said during a California press conference. “Our paths have always crossed. They’ll continue to cross. I welcome her to this family of fun and entertainment and finding new talent."

Not only does she welcome her former Mickey Mouse Club mate, she thinks that she'll be great for the job. “Britney’s a pro. She’s going to give great advice," said Christina.

While Britney may be a great fit as new X-Factor judge, she's been reportedly out of it lately. During a recent commercial shoot for her fragrance, the pop diva was acting strange. "Britney didn't interact with the cast or crew at all during the two day shoot and she seemed to be just going through the motions when the camera was rolling, and seemed out of it," said an eyewitness to RadarOnline.com.

"Britney was almost robotic in her movements," the eyewitness continued. "Britney's fiance, Jason Trawick was along for the shoot and everyone thought at first he was her assistant because she spent so much time huddled up with him when not filming. Britney must have smoked at least a pack a day during the two day shoot and was always smoking when not filming. Security was very tight and Britney had more bodyguards than usual and was kept out of sight from visitors to the Queen Mary."

The commercial, which is for Elizabeth Arden, and her X-Factor debut both premiere this September.
