With Jamie Foxx confirmed as the villain "Electro," it's only right that the folks behind "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" would have more good news, no?!
After just a few weeks of casting couch sessions, director Marc Webb has announced his choice of Dane DeHaan to play Peter Parker's best friend, Harry Osborn. Most cinephiles will note the actor best as Andrew, the troubled, telekinetic teen who causes so many problems in "Chronicle," but he's also been featured in "Lawless" and, very briefly, "Lincoln."
DeHaan's brand of intensity will work well given the direction "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is shaping up to go. We're not keen on spoilers, so make sure to check out "The Amazing Spider-Man" to get the hint.
The filmmakers are keeping quiet about what they have up their sleeves, but with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone back on deck as Peter Parker and Gwen, and Shailene Woodley all but confirmed as Mary Jane, the plot will surely thicken.
You can expect your favorite neighborhood crime-fighter to return back to the big screen on April 18, 2014.
