Ciara Comments on How She Feels About Rihanna

It seems Ciara and Rihanna may not have entirely crushed their year-old feud. Last February, the two singers had a brief Twitter exchange after Ciara accused Rihanna of being less than kind to her at a party on E!’s Fashion Police with Joan Rivers. After a couple of jabs, it seemed the ladies had settled the score, but a recent Instagram post by Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde has put Ciara back on the defense.

Just one day after Ciara posted a video of herself in a bathroom singing her new single “Body Party” acapella (Mar. 5), Forde posted a photo of herself and Rihanna in a bathroom watching the video. The caption read: “#bodyparty bathroom acapella version #London.” Ciara did not take too kindly to the photo; the singer responded with a tweet: “Don’t have time 4 the silliness. Grow Up and Do Something Positive with ya selves for once. God Bless.”

In an interview this morning with Chicago’s 107.5 FM station, Ciara addressed the photo further, saying that she did not feel the photo was a show of support:

“I thought everything was cool because I actually saw Rihanna two years ago at the Met Gala after we had the little small back and forth and from what I recall everything was cool,” she said. “So, in my mind I operate from a place of love and pure support. If you would have asked me about her up until this point I would have nothing but good things to say because I’m really happy for her. But I didn’t receive what they did from a positive place.”

Ciara went on in the interview to discuss the new single -- which features boyfriend Future -- calling it a “feel-good” record. She also spoke about her upcoming role on BET’s “The Game,” returning March 26 at 10 p.m.
