G.O.O.D. Music's sense of urgency can't be measured with logical reasoning. It's all up to one man.
After dropping "Cruel Summer" in September (a month after the season), it should come as no surprise that "Cruel Winter" is also running behind schedule. That is, if the project is still happening.
According to G.O.O.D. Music rapper Common, the follow-up compilation album may never come out.
"I don't know if there will be a "Cruel Winter" or not," he told VIBE in a recent interview. "Kanye is the core behind any of the G.O.O.D. Music releases as a collective and right now, each artist is working on solo things. We still work together but I dont know if it'll be a cruel winter. it would be nice though."
The crew has an eventful year ahead up them with Yeezy and Kim expecting their first child, Kid CuDi & his growing acting career, and Big Sean and Pusha T's upcoming albums. Comm says their hustle only gives the seasoned spitter motivation.
"I enjoy being in the studio with Sean and getting around Pusha and them 'cause these dudes work. They'll knock out a song in a day and it take me a while to write," he says. "It gives me inspiration to free it up more."
