Concert Review: Slaughterhouse Rocks The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood (VIDEO)

Concert Review: Slaughterhouse Rocks The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood (VIDEO)

Posted April 12, 2012

We've seen a lot of shows, but not too many as entertaining as the one Slaughterhouse puts on.  Rap marksmen, Royce da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, and Crooked I stopped at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood and gave the fans exactly what they wanted.  They opened the show with "Sound Off" from their debut album, Slaughterhouse. Royce was first on-stage with his opening verse. He was quickly joined by each of his comrades as they performed their verses, until all four were on-stage and the crowd was in a frenzy  They went through their first album, performing bangers like Microphone and OnSlaught 2, before moving on to their new single Hammertime from their upcoming album welcome to: Our House.  They even squeezed in a little bit of the BET Cypher between songs.  But nothing was more entertaining than Joell Ortiz giving his own rendition of Michael McDonald's 'I Keep Forgetting," or Joey filling in for Bruno Mars when Royce performed Lighters. They had plenty of jokes for each other and plenty of bars for the crowd, which the fans recited word for word.

Catch their performance below, and find out why their upcoming album crushes the one you already love.
