Convicted Rapist Becomes Texas' 14th Executed Inmate of 2012

Last night, a convicted rapist & murderer became the 14th inmate to be executed in Texas this year.
The Inquisitr reports that Ramon Torres Hernandez was given a fatal dose of pentobarbital and was declared dead at 6:38 pm CST, 26 minutes later.
Hernandez was originally convicted along with two other people in the murder of Rosa Maria Rosando, who was grabbed and thrown into a car driven by the convicted sex offender when she refused to give up her purse during a drive-by robbery. Rosando was then bound and gagged and taken to a motel where she was raped and killed. Her body was later buried in a shallow grave in the woods.
Texas holds the record as the most active state with the death penalty.
