Cops Leaving Fox Network After 25 Years

/ May 6, 2013

Bad boys, bad boys… where you gonna go? Cops is leaving the Fox Network after 25 years, and the future for the show is on cable.

Cops, which showcases shirtless criminals running from police officers across our great country, will depart Fox for the Spike network beginning in September. That ends a run on Fox that has lasted since 1989, or around the same time Fox began airing The Simpsons.

The show has filmed 900 episodes in 140 different cities. With Cops leaving Fox, the network loses another crime-based staple – America’s Most Wanted moved to the Lifetime network back in 2011.

Maybe Will Smith and Martin Lawrence can bring it back?
