After being affiliated with several different labels in the past, New Orleans’ rapper Curren$y has landed his flight at Warner Bros Records.
The rapper locked in a label deal for his imprint Jets International. In 2000, Spitta was once signed to Master P’s No Limit Records. Between 2004 and 2005, he went onto sign with Cash Money Records and Lil’ Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. He left the label in 2007.
In 2009, Curren$y released his debut album This Ain’t No Mixtape and follow-up, Jet Files through Amalgam Digital. Last year, the rapper released Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II under Damon Dash’s DD172 label division through BluRoc Records with distribution through Def Jam.
Curren$y is currently working on new albums, Muscle Car Chronicles and Pilot Talk III. His first release on Warner Bros will be an EP, titled Covert Coup, produced entirely produced by The Alchemist (Apr. 19th) . He also plans to drop a project with his affiliates Fiend, Trademark Da Skydiver, and Young Roddy.The rapper also kicks off a tour on 4/20 in his hometown of New Orleans.—Diane "Shabazz" Varnie
