Daft Punk Cancels ‘The Colbert Report’ Due To MTV VMA Peformance

Daft Punk was forced to pull the plug on their The Colbert Report appearance due to contractual differences. Viacom, who owns MTV, effectively blocked the French duo from performing on Comedy Central due to an upcoming surprise appearance at the 2013 VMA Awards. Secret’s it out and MTV will be the ones who “Get Lucky.”

The legendary French duo, Daft Punk, has been pretty quiet as of late, but will return to a major stage Aug. 25 alongside Kanye West, reports say. – Alley Olivier
