This past Sunday, Dame Dash hosted an art show for a young New York artist named Mark Anthony Green. You might recognize him as one of the editors at GQ.
Taking place at Dame's Poppington Gallery in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the show, called 'Vibes Are The Only Currency' contained 22 of Green's pieces, which were hand and machine stitched, hand painted and stretched by Green himself on cotton canvas with twill lettering. Green has an affinity for topography in his art and often touches on cultural events and personal experiences in his work.
As only Dame can do, he brought a variety of different people out to see the show. Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zeky were in attendance, as well as Ronnie Fieg, Mark McNairy, Michael K. Williams, and Victor Cruz, who even purchased a piece.
