Hip-hop had one hell of a summer this year with scorching releases from its top contenders back to back to back from the likes of J. Cole, Kanye West and Jay Z but the Fall is looking like it won't disappoint either.
First up is Detroit rapper Danny Brown. Brown tweeted that his new album Old will arrive September 30, which was later confirmed by Fool’s Gold label head A-Trak. Frustrated by delays, Brown threatened to leak the album—it was originally set for an August date to salute the two-year anniversary of his album XXX. Danny is also hitting the road to go on tour with Action Bronson, which kicks off September 8 at Rock The Bells in San Bernardino, CA.
Meek Mill then took to Instagram to announce that his highly anticipated mixtape Dreamchasers 3 will be available September 20.
Next up to bat is DJ Khaled. His seventh album Suffering From Success has been pushed back to October 22. The We The Best CEO revealed why he switched up the original September 24 drop date. "I moved the date back because it got greater," Khaled explains. "I told ya’ll I’m working on the biggest masterpiece ever. I just recorded something that’s so crazy, that’s gon’ have the whole streets erupt earthquake style."—Kandice Lawson
