Diana Ross Refuses to Work with Tyler Perry

Don’t expect to see Diana Ross in a Tyler Perry movie anytime soon.

According to the National Enquirer, a inside source has revealed the Motown legend refuses to work with Perry and has turned down multiple requests to appear on his TBS sitcom, “House of Payne” numerous times.

“She refuses to even discuss the prospect with him,” said the source.

According to interview with Essence.com in late June, the filmmaker always hoped to work alongside the singer at one point in his career.

“She’s been ignoring me for years,” he said. “She’s the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls.”

However, according to the Enquirer source, Diana is just not feeling Tyler Perry’s directorial efforts or his characters.

“Diana feels Tyler’s movies, TV shows and especially his main character ‘Madea’ have no substance,” the source stated. “Diana is all about her entertainment legacy.”
