Diddy Confirms Launch of New Cable Network, 'Revolt'

The rumors of Diddy creating a new music themed television network have been confirmed.

Reports first indicated that the network would launch in late 2012.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hip-hop mogul turned business tycoon will indeed launch a cable network called ‘Revolt.’

Combs released this statement: “Revolt is the first channel created entirely from the ground up in this new era of social media. We’re building this platform for artist to reach extraordinary number of people in a completely different way. Combs continued, Revolt will be live, like all great moments in the television history”

Despite early reports in the New York Times which hinted that Time Warner would distribute the network, Comcast announced Tuesday that it would be the distributor of a “Combs-backed network”. Reports were also accurate about Diddy teaming up with MTV veteran Andy Schuon. The network will infuse music, news and pop culture including music videos, live performance and interviews.

Mr. Combs will now join other moguls like Oprah Winfrey and Magic Johnson with TV networks. Revolt will debut the end of the year. --Talim Adderly
