'Diff'rent Strokes' Actor Conrad Bain Dead At 89

Keenan Higgins Posted January 16, 2013

Hollywood is currently grieving over the loss of one of television's best dads ever, actor Conrad Bain.

According to TMZ, Bain died Monday night at a retirement home in Livermore, CA. The actor is most famous for his role as Phillip Drummond in the iconic sitcom, Diff'rent Strokes.

TMZ also spoke with Bain's daughter Jennifer, who said, "He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father." She says he spent his last few days with his family. With addition to Jennifer, he is also survived by his three sons and twin brother Bonar Bain.

R.I.P., Mr. Drummond...
