Eagle-eyed snoopers spotted some intriguing news in regards to the upcoming Transformers 4 picture directed by Michael Bay. Paramount Pictures tried their best to do a little damage control following this interesting leak.
News of the Dinobots' appearance in the next installment of the "robots in disguise" franchise spread across the World Wide Web like wildfire. Everyone who is a fan of the Transformers brand has exclaimed excitement over the revelation. Paramount Pictures has been trying to make the best out of this situation by strutting out producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
He recently confirmed the appearance of Dinobots, robotic Autobots and Decepticons who appear as dinosaurs, in Transformers 4. Giving fanboys a bone, he said to TFW2005, "I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. The world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China's vehicles."
First appearing in the Transformers cartoon way back in 1984, the robots were constructed by characters Wheeljack and Ratchet in the episode "S.O.S. Dinobots." The first three to appear in the animated series were Grimlock (Tyrannosaurus rex), Slag (Triceratops), and Sludge (Apatosaurus). Later on as the series developed, Snarl (Stegosaurus) and Swoop (Pteranodon) later joined the team. It is unclear how these characters could possibly intertwine with the original storyline Michael Bay and company plan to use in this fourth installment of the franchise. So, safe money is that we will all be keeping a close eye on how the Dinobots will fit into the sequel.
Other confirmed details include the time setting, which finds the events in Transformers 4 taking place four years after the Invasion Of Chicago seen in Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, and the characters' roles: Wahlberg is a struggling inventor and single father to Tessa (Nicola Peltz) who in turn is going out with race car driver Shane (played by newbie Jack Reynor, What Richard Did). Kelsey Grammer plays bad guy Harold Attinger
The still-developing Transformers 4 is aiming for a June 27 release next year.
