Good news for comic fans as the helmer behind X-Men: First Class will now serve as a producer for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot!
"Just [got] off the phone with Fox and some excellent news," Millar posted on Twitter. The writer behind comic books like The Ultimates and Kick-Ass was elated to share the news, tweeting, "Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot!"
Millar's reveal could potentially pave the way for a shared cinematic universe between its film properties and its comics. For those that aren't in the know, the Fantastic Four reboot is set to be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle) who proved he knows a thing or two about giving people super-powers. Twentieth Century Fox is slapping a target date of March 6, 2015 for the reboot.
Vaughn, who resurrected the X-Men from the movie graveyard with 2011's First Class, is producing the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past as well and, while nothing has been confirmed as of yet, it has been speculated that Fox could developer their Marvel properties for the same kind of crossover potential shown with Marvel's The Avengers.
