Dr. Oz Sued After Insomnia Cure Goes Wrong
Call it a primetime medical malpractice. Dr. Oz is being sued after a viewer burned himself during an insomnia cure championed by the TV doc.
New Jersey resident Frank Dietl is suing Dr. Oz for promoting something called the "knap-sack heated rice footsie," which Oz featured last April. The so-called cure is filling a pair of socks with uncooked rice, then microwaving them and putting them on.
Which somehow cures insomnia.
The man claims he got third-degree burns, and is now suing Dr. Oz. The show declined comment.
