Drake announced his Would You Like a Tour? dates in June, but was forced to reschedule 13 stops due to “an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that the extra month of prep time was enough. Drake was forced to cancel the second show of his tour last night. After kicking things off in Pittsburgh the night before with guests like Wiz Khalifa and Jhene Aiko and openers Miguel and Future, Drake turned back ticket holders the next night in Philadelphia as people began to enter the venue. “Due to the elaborate nature of tonight’s show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake’s ‘Would You Like A Tour’ concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18,” a spokesperson for Wells Fargo Center said.

According to some reports a rising catwalk is to blame. At the end of Drake’s gig in Pittsburgh, the catwalk can be seen here lifting the “From Time” rapper above the audience. No comment from Drake yet on the cancellation. Tour opener Miguel made the best of things. After learning that the show was cancelled, Miguel hit the streets and performed a secret and very intimate show at a local venue. He dropped hints via his Twitter page on the location of the gig.

Drake’s tour has been plagued with drama from the start. Apart from the initial rescheduling of some shows, the rapper almost kicked opener Future off the tour due to some comments he made. Here’s to hoping things turn around for everyone involved. The tour is scheduled to go on as planned Monday, Oct. 21 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
