A man named Kanye West once said, "It's Drake season" and with the holidays in full swing, Drizzy is opening up his heart and wallet to the less fortunate.
In a rather unique choice of late night activity (after all, we've seen dude in clubs with Rihanna and such in the past), the Nothing Was The Same rapper, who is currently on his Would You Like A Tour?, reportedly stopped by a homeless shelter at 3am on Wednesday (Dec. 4) in Portland and made a donation.
"Drake was in Portland for his concert. He was out checking out the nightlife," Stacey King of the Union Gospel Mission of Portland told E! News. "While he was out, he saw we had our emergency cold weather shelter open. He came in and talked to our overnight supervisor, asking, 'Hey, what's going on here?'"
The shelter, which is usually packed with about 50 to 60 people sleeping on mats each night in the winter, "touched his heart.". The Union Gospel Mission of Portland didn't disclose the amount but said the rapper made a "cash donation."
"This is our really busy season," King said. "We are providing more meals, getting more blankets, sleeping bags and socks. It's the time of year where we help a lot of people, so it really helped. It was a really neat example, that he would take a moment and help."
This is Drake's second good deed this week after he recently stopped by a Philadelphia high school and offering to build them a studio.
