Drake Parts Ways With PR Firm After Rolling Stone Controversy

It was reported earlier today (Feb. 28) that Drake fired his publicity firm after his Rolling Stone interview fiasco. However, ID-PR says they actually resigned working with the star.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Drake was on his worst behavior when he blasted the publication for misquoting him in shade thrown at Kanye West. He also made a unfavorable comment about the Phillip Hoffman cover on Twitter and called the press “evil” after vowing to never be interviewed by another magazine again.

He later apologized on his blog. “I apologize to anybody who took my initial comments out of context because in no way would I ever want to offend the Hoffman family or see myself as bigger than that moment,” he stated.

However, something must have made Drake and his PR firm feel some type of way about each other because now the Nothing Was The Same rapper is looking elsewhere for new representation.

In an official statement sent to Billboard, ID stated “Drake is an incredibly talented artist and we’re proud of our results for Nothing Was The Same and Would You Like A Tour? We wish him the best.”
