Being a celebrity has its perks: Money, groupies, more groupies. But celebs are real people too, and sometimes just want some good ol' plebeian treatment. So what's a man like Drake to do when he wants to go to Disneyland without feeling like a fish in a fishbowl? What any logical person would do: Put on a fake mustache and blend in.
On his Nothing Was The Same promotional run, Drizzy stopped by 106 & Park and shared a story about how he disguised himself so he could turn up with Mickey Mouse without any partiality.
"One time I had a costume person come to my house and make me up in a disguise and I went to Disneyland and just walked around, I was in line," Drake told hosts Bow Wow and Angela Simmons. What he left out was that his stealth day at the park was actually a date with Tyra Banks (as revealed by this). "I didn't want any special treatment—sometimes they'll walk people through the park. I just went and bought my own funnel cake and rode the rides, waited in line."
Truly a rapper of the people. [cue awws!] But the jig was up once his costume began to malfunction.
"My mustache started falling off and then eventually they figured out it was me, like, towards the end of the night," he remembers. "But it was good for, like, two hours."
Who can blame the guy, though? Everyone should be able to ride Space Mountain without the hassle of snapping Instagrams with giddy tweens. Maybe next time he and Kevin Hart can go half on renting out the whole park.
