The Young Money team is racking up the lawsuits. Yesterday, its First Lady Nicki Minaj was sued for possibly plagiarizing parts of her smash hit "Starships" by an international singer. Today, it's Drake's turn as a famous jeweler accuses him of swiping his owl pendant designs.
The OVO ringleader, known for using the hooter as his signature emblem for years, is being hit with a lawsuit by designer Michael Raphael, who you may recall is the same fellow who sued him for unpaid styling services. The owner of jeweler Baden Baden Inc. claims that Drizzy hired the company to design a custom diamond-studded platinum owl pendant back in January for $49,204.
This past June, BB claims the Toronto MC jocked their design and made gold replicas for his pals. They are said to be suing for copyright infringement for an unspecified amount and requesting that the court make Drake fork over his owl copies.
