In a sports frenzy this evening (July 5) over Dwight Howard’s anticipated team selection, the former Los Angeles Lakers center allegedly made up his “20-month” decision to go down south to the Houston Rockets according to a source reported by USA Today.

There’s been speculation of where the free-agent would land, throwing the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, and the Atlanta Hawks into the trading hat, but now all three teams have been reported to be out of the quest to gain Howard.

The Rockets’ general manager, Daryl Morey, expressed his opinion on Twitter, typing “While we are excited and cautiously optimistic @DwightHoward might choose Houston, we have not yet heard about his decision.”
