Last night (Dec. 30), the Miami Heat defeated the Denver Nuggets 97-94 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado where Dwyane Wade contributed 12 points for MIA, but the real win came off the court when he confirmed having a newborn son that did not belong to his fiance/ actress Gabrielle Union.
"I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy," Wade told reporters during a press conference.
Though the longtime couple was met with backlash for Wade's affair, the Miami Heat baller kept a positive outlook.
"I always focus on what's most important to me and my family, and that's being a great father," he continued. "I've always tried to show my importance in my kids' lives and it doesn't change now. So, I, my lady and my family have continued to move forward, and I think that's evident with the ring and the proposal that I gave her, with our lives."
Wade recently settled his divorce this past summer to ex-wife Siovaughn Funches and won primary custody of their sons Zaire, 11, and Zion, 6. Funches allegedly penned a shady letter to the couple upon hearing of Wade's new child.
Still, the baggage hasn't kept Wade and Union from soaring in love. He recently proposed to the Being Mary Jane star just before Christmas with a stunning 8.5 carat ring.
