E-Beef: Yelp And FourSquare Begin Battling!

E-Beef: Yelp And FourSquare Begin Battling!

VIBE Pop Culture Posted November 7, 2012

The digital brouhaha has begun between Foursquare and Yelp. Is it imitation or flattery? You be the judge after the jump.

Foursquare is intensifying its growing competition with Yelp by launching a new 10-point ratings system for local businesses. Sounds like something that someone else in this story does, no? Well, the deepening battle wounds between these two web properties is two-fold, as Yelp has been stepping on a few toes of its own. The local business search tool recently begun to target its users through highlighting friend activity, and also rolled out an app update that displays restaurant menus and more.

Oh, yeah, the update is courtesy of iOS 6.0.1. update.

While we don't have any dog in this race, who do YOU think will win this war of app supremacy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
