Eazy-E came back from the dead thanks to a hologram-like technology during Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Rock the Bells performance on Saturday night (Sept. 8.) The N.W.A. rapper died in 1995 at the age of 31, but had signed the hip-hop group to his Ruthless Records in late 1993. Saturday, Sept. 7, marked what would have been his 50th birthday.
"What's up L.A.?" Eazy-E asked the Rock the Bells crowd. The Eazy-E hologram performed two tracks -- "Boyz In the Hood" and "Straight Out of Compton" with assists from Bone Thugs.
Sunday night at Rock the Bells promises to bring back Wu-Tang Clan's fallen member Ol' Dirty Bastard during the Staten Island crew's set. Stay tuned and watch Eazy-E's performance below.
