El DeBarge Arrested for Drug Possession

R&B singer El Debarge can’t seem to catch a break. The “Rhythm of the Night” singer was arrested for drug possession in Los Angeles yesterday and cops believe Debarge may have been trying to sell the substance.

According to TMZ, Debarge was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. This is Debarge’s third arrest for drug possession since 2001. He was released from on $30,000 bail and is due back in court next month.

The Grammy nominated El Debarge made a comeback in 2010 releasing his album Second Chance at the age of 49. Following the release of Second Chance, Debarge voluntarily checked himself back into rehab in February 2011 ending his headlining tour with fellow singer KEM. -- Johnathan Cruse
