The Eldrick Woods Relationship Blog
I would be more than happy to take all the credit for coming up with this blog, but that wouldn’t be quite accurate. There must be some credit given to Tiger Woods.
Of course I don’t know Tiger Woods personally, but let’s face it, at the end of 2009, we all got to know Tiger Woods better than we know some of our family; his wife too. Once the cat got out the bag that Tiger Woods — one of the world’s most well-known athletes and the richest — did what he did with women not named “Tiger Woods’ wife”, everyone — our friends, parents, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles — started at least one conversation with either, “Well, if I was Tiger I would’ve…” or “Well, if I was Tiger Woods’ wife, I would…” Even at the VIBE offices, we had so many conversation
Why? Not because we’re editors and writers paid to talk about the popular news of the day. Garbage men don’t get paid to talk about such things, and even they were discussing Tiger Woods. No, the reason we talked about Tiger Woods, the reason any of us talk about any celebrity affair, legit or otherwise, is because when it comes to matters of the heart —love, sex, liking someone, breaking up with someone — everyone, no matter their status, can relate to it.
Yes, this is a relationship blog, but not like others you have ever read. No I won’t dish out juicy gossip, echoing the he-said-she-
This blog takes the news we read about celebrity relationship
True, I don’t know the details of their lives as a married couple at all, but none of us do, and yet, a lot of us will continue to say, “Well, if I was Beyoncé,” or “Well, if I was Jay-Z”.
And for those who still aren’t clear, well, I’ll let Alicia tell it.
