You can add two more to Joss Whedon's Marvel TV adaptation. We have the scoop on them after the jump.
The project from ABC Studios which is based on Marvel Comics' secret intelligence organization has been a looming presence across Marvel Studios' "Phase One" initiative, including "Iron Man," Captain America," and "Thor". The law-enforcement agency's acronym stands for "Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistic Directorate," has evolved since being introduced in the 1960s.
Now, you can add Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker to the exciting new project.
Henstridge will play science whiz Agent Gemma Simmons, while De Caestecker will play Agent Leo Fitz, a tech-guru. The duo spend all their time together — and like Martin and Pam — will be providing plenty of the wisecracks while showcasing their mastery of their respective fields during missions.
As we reported, Ming-Na, previously joined the cast and will play top-notch pilot and weapons expert Agent Melinda May, and Clark Gregg, who reprises his role from "The Avengers," will play Agent Phil Coulson.
Whedon himself is set to co-write the pilot with his brother, Jed Whedon, and Jed's wife Maurissa Tancharoen. He may also direct the pilot for ABC Studios when that begins filming in January, schedule permitting.
