With the release of his eighth LP MMLP2 around the corner, Eminem phoned in to DJ Whoo Kid's Shade 45 radio show to talk about the characters on his new LP, dropping Nov. 5.
Em talks about being anxious and nervous to meet and work with Rick Rubin for MMLP2. He notes the partnership came out of a mutual respect for rock-influenced hip-hop, something Marshall Mathers is no stranger to. ("I'm a superfan of, like, all the early '80s hip-hop, man; early Beastie Boys shit, on Licensed to Ill how they incorporated all the Led Zeppelin examples on there...") He gives props to Rihanna on their new collaboration "The Monster." ("She's a crazy vocalist; she can sing anything"), and also hypes his new track with Kendrick Lamar ("To me, he keeps getting better.") Check out Slim Shady's chat with DJ Whoo Kid below.
