As if there was any reason to doubt, Eminem debuted at the top of the Billboard charts in his first week of sales for his latest studio effort The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
According to HitsDailyDouble, Slim Shady clocked in at 779K, which falls right in line with early reports that he would push 700,000 to 750,000 albums. This keeps the Detroit spitter at no. 2 for the second highest-selling LP in the year, after Justin Timberlake who sold 968,000 albums of The 20/20 Experience, Part 1 this past March.
This marks Em's seventh consecutive no. 1 album and boasts the singles "Berzerk," "Rap God" and "Monster," with features from Skylar Grey, Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna. Cop his album available on iTunes here.
