Apple Inc. and Eminem's music publisher are going to trial after the two parties failed to settle a dispute over the rapper's songs retailing on iTunes.
According to the Associated Press, settlement talks took place on Wednesday (September 23), but a deal wasn't reached.
Eminem's publishing company Eight Mile Style LLC claims it never authorized the sale of 93 songs available on iTunes in downloadable format, and are alleging copyright infringement.
Apple, however, says it has a valid agreement with Aftermath Records, which controls the Em tracks in question, thus giving the right to sell them.
The trail is set to begin Thursday morning (September 24).
