Veteran ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols is leaving the network after more than eight years. According to The Big Lead, Nichols will instead be joining CNN, and will be a prominent fixture in their pre-Super Bowl coverage, starting next week.

Nichols has been at ESPN since 2004, covering every major sport and working big interviews with stars like Jeremy Lin. She is one of several prominent female anchors to leave ESPN recently, including Erin Andrews and Michelle Beadle.

Now that Rachel Nichols is leaving ESPN, you’ll see her pop up much more frequently across the CNN/Turner properties. Here is an interview she conducted with then-Knicks star Jeremy Lin, at the height of Linsanity.
