Essence Atkins will star opposite Marlon Wayans in the forthcoming indie Smart Ass.

The Wayans co-directed film is described as a spoof of various found-footage pics like Paranormal Activity and The Devil Inside Me according to Black Film.

Atkins previously appeared with Wayans on Dance Flick and can currently be seen in the TBS comedy Are We There Yet?
