Exmag Feat. Gramatik Release Experimental Dance Music On ‘Proportions’ (Full Album)

Exmag isn’t the name of a fledgling news publication that went the way of so many hard copy outlets over the years. The robust five-piece Brooklyn collective features Eric Mendelson, Tyler Dondero, Mike Iannatto, Illumntr, as well as the boundary-pushing groove-bass head, Gramatik.

Together, Exmag has strung together a debut album titled, Proportions and released it on Gramatik’s Lowtemp label. This isn’t EDM, though the group uses synth. This isn’t just a band, though the live apparatus is effervescent and the instruments are played acutely.

Proportions is a funky R&B, soul and electronica hybrid LP. It’s as if Daft Punk and Jill Scott had a baby, and Exmag is their their sonic live child. Groove to it below.
