Fan Who Kid Cudi Punched Says He’s Fine, Won’t Press Charges
If you haven’t seen the Youtube clip yet, rapper Kid Cudi punched a fan in the front row of his concert in Vancouver over the weekend.
The fan, who goes by the name of Michael Sharpe, sent in a few photos of himself to TMZ, after the punch, adding that he’s just fine and doesn’t plan to press charges.
According to Sharpe’s explanation to TMZ, this is why it happened:
Someone behind him threw a wallet onto the stage. He says Cudi tossed it back to the crowd and Michael caught it — but since it wasn’t his, he tossed it back. Sharpe says that’s when Cudi came towards him and, he says, Cudi started to punch him.
Sharpe says his friends held him back and security quickly pulled Cudi away. Sharpe told us, “I’m not upset, I’m not going to be that person. I just want to meet him and be like ‘I’m the guy you punched.’ I’m not going to press charges.”
The kid suffered a minor laseration under the right eye, but seems to be fine.
