For awhile, the future of Universal's Fast And Furious 7 was up in the air following Paul Walker's death in a car crash on November 30. Now, bosses have finally announced the film's release for April 2015.
Originally scheduled for release on July 11, 2014, the franchise's star Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to let his multitude of fans know about the latest development regarding Fast And Furious 7.
"Fast and Furious 7 will be released... April 10th, 2015," Diesel wrote. "P.S. He'd want you to know first..."
The actor, who will reprise his role as Dom Toretto in the upcoming film, also posted an image of himself with his late co-star. "The last scene we filmed together...," the 46-year-old lamented on his page. "There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared... in the film we were now completing... the magic captured... and, in just how far we've come..."
Production on the seventh installment of the adrenaline-fueled franchise began back in September, and while a huge portion of the film has been shot, Universal's picture is still incomplete.
While there was a plan instituted on how to adjust the film and create a send-off to Paul Walker, it is not yet clear how the movie will be adjusted.
Universal Pictures have said they will donate proceeds from the upcoming DVD release of Fast And Furious 6, which was released in May 2013, to Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide. The film made 789 million US dollars (£482 million) worldwide.
