After signing on as executive producer for the Starz crime drama Power, 50 Cent will be joining the action on-screen.

For those not hip to the series, Power follows James “Ghost” St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick), a New York City nightclub owner who also caters to the city’s elite as kingpin of a lucrative drug network. As trouble follows his every move, Ghost struggles to right his wrongs by keeping his family from harm’s way.

In this week’s episode, the Queens MC is introduced as Ghost’s former boss, Kanan, who’s been locked up in prison for years over a sketchy drug charge. As Ghost’s mentor and advisor to his organization, Kanan is planning a huge comeback in the drug game.

Co-executive produced by Fif and Courtney Kemp Agboh, Power has already been picked up for its second season. Catch a teaser of episode three where Ghost and his wife, Tasha (played by Naturi Haughton) go back-and-forth about a crisis on Ghost’s hands. Tune in to Power Saturday, June 21 at 9pm ET/PT on Starz.
