FIRST LOOK: Director Marc Webb Debuts New 'Spider-Man' Costume

Following a tease that we posted here a few weeks back, we now have a first look at the costume that will be featured in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Coming through on a promise that director Marc Webb made last November, the costume features much bigger eyes and a number of alterations to color and texture throughout. Do you think this is the closest any of the films have come to matching the design from the comics?

Andrew Garfield reprises his role as your favorite neighborhood Spider-Man, only to find that his life is extremely busy and complicated. Between taking out the baddies as a costumed superhero, spending time with his girlfriend, Gwen (Emma Stone), and possibly coming across Mary Jane Watson, high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Things will ultimately change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (played by Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Chronicle's Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will also star Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giammatti, Felicity Jones and Colm Feore. Expect the web-slinger to swing into theaters on May 2, 2014.
