As expected, FX has picked up the hilarious "Wilfred" for a third season!
It may have taken a little bit longer than most expected, but FX President John Landgraf quelled fears regarding "Wilfried" by telling reporters the show had "a many-year future on the network." Even if there were some "deal issues to work out," the Elijah Wood/Jason Gann comedy has been picked up again to air 13 more episodes with production to begin next spring.
Included in the renewal announcement, FX revealed that Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne, writer-producers for the first two seasons, will be elevated to showrunners for the third season, while David Zuckerman will remain on-board as executive producer.
"Wilfred" is expected to return to FX in June of 2013, but it will be without its comedy running mate "Louie," which will take 2013 off (you can thank Louie C.K. for that).
