Once again, George Zimmerman has escaped the grip of the law. According to CNN, the former night watch volunteer will not face charges for the domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend last month, Florida State Attorney Phil Archer said.
In November, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with battery and aggravated assault but his ex-girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, stated in a court document that she didn't want him to be charged.
"I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to the police," Scheibe said in a signed affidavit this week. "I do not feel that the arrest report accurately recounts what happened."
This isn't the first time Zimmerman has beat the system. Earlier this summer, he was found not-guilty in a controversial decision by a Florida jury for the second-degree murder of teen Trayvon Martin. He was also allegedly involved in a dispute with his estranged wife in October, where officials also dropped charges.
